- What the Bible
- Says
-
-
- MESSAGE
-
- "For
all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD"
|
The Bible is GOD's Special
Revelation to mankind. It is by nature a spiritual Book that
is revelation only when assisted by GOD's Spirit. Its divine
truths cannot be grasped by reasoning alone. Understanding the Bible requires GOD's personal
act of Self-Revelation. |
-
Good Heart
- Prerequisite to Divine Understanding
"A
new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within
you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and
I will give you an heart of flesh." Ezek. 36:26
In one parable
in the Bible, Jesus describes His message as a divine seed intended
for planting deep within the fertile
soil of the heart. Its success in developing deep roots and eventually
producing fruit is based solely upon the soil condition of the hearer's heart.
To receive
GOD's Self-Revelation, the Bible instructs the seeker to be humble
and willing to believe.
Please Note:
If you are in doubt as to the condition of your heart, ask GOD
to give you such a heart. |
-
The
Bible states, "The LORD is nigh (near) unto them that are
of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit"
(Ps. 34:18). |
-
The reader
must additionally recognize that GOD's Omnipotence the
Laws of Nature serve. The Creator acts by His own volition
and is capable of supernatural feats beyond any
scale imaginable by mortal beings.
- What
the Bible Says
GOD is the Creator
"By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all
the host of them by the breath of his mouth." Psalms 33:6
|
- In
the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1
|
- GOD created
the Universe and the physical laws of nature that govern it.
He created numerous spirit beings such as angels, to populate
the spirit realm.
-
- GOD Made
Man
"And the LORD GOD formed man of the dust of the ground
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became
a living soul." Gen. 2:7
-
- GOD equipped
the parents of our Race with a body, a soul and a spirit. The body, through its five senses, provided sense
consciousness. The soul, through the intellect, will and
emotions provided self-consciousness.
-
- Through the
spirit, their noblest part which came directly from GOD,
they were able to apprehend and worship Him.
-
- GOD Gave
Man Dominion Over the Earth
As Sovereign Moral Governor over creation, GOD gave the parents
of our Race dominion over the whole Earth. He issued specific
commands and warned them of the grave consequences for violating
them, which was death..
-
- Not mere physical
death, which is the separation of the soul and spirit from the
body, but the Second Death...to be cast into the Lake
of Fire to burn FOREVER.
-
- Mankind
Becomes a Fallen Race
"Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and
so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
Romans 5:12
-
- Shortly after
their creation, Satan (a fallen archangel), visited the new lords
of the Earth and tempted them into defying GOD's Law. Satan used
three temptations to seduce the couple: lust, greed and pride.
-
- By indulging
in Satan's deceit, the new couple abdicated their dominion and
through sin became enslaved to their new master.
-
- Mankind
Doomed
In response, GOD cursed the Earth. He cursed the animal kingdom
with a system of violent predation. [Note: All animals were
originally herbivores.] GOD cursed the vegetation,
making it laborious for mankind to grow crops.
-
- But the severest
penalty he passed upon the couple. GOD condemned them and
their subsequent offspring to the Second Death
- a destiny of eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire.
-
- The Creator's
Promise
But in His great love for His fallen creatures, GOD provided
a great hope. GOD promised to send a Savior who
would pay mankind's debt to His Righteous Law - with His own
Divine life (the only payment the Law would accept).
-
- There are
over 330 specific prophecies in the Bible pertaining to the promised
Savior. Each one of them has been fulfilled.

- Congenital
Sin - Adam Ruins the Race
"Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and
so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
Rom. 5:12
-
- In defying
GOD, Adam not only corrupted himself but also his
future offspring. The entire human race is infected with Adam's
inbred sin principle. This condemns us all as GOD's enemies to
face GOD's righteous wrath.
-
- We are
All Sinners
For
all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD; Rom. 3:23
- We are all
sinners by inheritance and by the sins we commit ourselves.

About
GOD
GOD is Love
He
that loveth not knoweth not GOD; for GOD is love. 1John 4:8
GOD is Righteous
The
LORD is righteous in all his ways and holy in all his works.
Ps. 145:17
GOD is Holy
For
I am the LORD your GOD: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves
and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: Lev. 11:44
GOD is Sovereign
Behold,
the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD'S thy GOD, the
earth also, with all that therein is. Deut. 10:14
Only One GOD
Know
therefore this day and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD
he is GOD in heaven above and upon the earth beneath: there is
none else. Deuteronomy. 4:39
GOD is Eternal
I
am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord,
which is and which was and which is to come, the Almighty. Revelation
1:8
GOD is Plural
For
there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word
and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 1John 5:7
The Bible teaches
that the Godhead is plural, consisting of three
separate and distinct persons:
- GOD the Father
- GOD the Son
- GOD the Holy
Spirit (or Holy Ghost)
Each is called
GOD, in the unity of GOD. The Father is called "GOD";
the Son is called "GOD"; and the Holy Spirit is called
"GOD". So all three persons of the Godhead are divine
and can be spoken of individually as "GOD" and collectively
as "one GOD", in the sense of unity.
Each one is called
"Lord," and collectively all three can be called "one
Lord" in the sense of unity. This unity is in the same sense
that any three persons could be in total unity with one another. |
